Tell Me, Tell You

By Celestial Sailor

Tell me

Does the wind carry your name

Does it whisper ageless knowledge

And counsel us all?

Tell me

Does your smile grow off every tree

Do your locks of hair grow like wildflowers

And laugh echoes in the distance?

Tell me

Will you ever live on

Thrive within our hearts and minds

Embodied within our souls?

Tell me

Did you ever dream of our futures

Strive to do your best

Dress us in your fashion extraordinaire

Cherish me as I was your own

Tell you

Would you cry now to know

True love I have found

Those many times you told me

How handsome I was.

Tell you

Your efforts did not go contrary,

To the test of reason.

Your striving will never fade away

Because I know, feel, believe

That your help

Has made our dreams just that little bit

Closer, and sweeter.
