"BORROWED HEAVEN"

" All alone, staring on
Watching her life go by
When her days are grey
And her nights are black "
* Andrea Corr

In that old green room plunged into the faint light,
Where the soft and silky echoes of Normandy’s rain lulled me to sleep
Dangerous realm filled with wishful visions of a past forever gone
Her scorching scream broke into my heart

Her strange and hoarse voice
The tortured and tortuous guitar
The steady heartbeat of the drums, lifeline
The sadness and glimmer of hope of the haunting violin

In a few verses my world,
A nation torn between reality and imagination
My mind, just a dreamboat
Swimming oceans of coral blue and red
**

In a song, my life
My wasteful heart always tangled in useless questions
Obsessions and ghosts that were no good for me,
But, in these naïve lyrics, the joy of life

From this day on, I was seduced
An invisible cord was stirred
But, the colours changed, the seasons turned white
And the addiction declined.

Another night, another time, another place
A fortuitous meeting, two words
From the scattered ashes, reborn
A page was turned...

For the truth you revealed
I followed your lead
A new kind of being...

A new day, a new philosophy.
And her vivid voice reached my ears again
Full of life, passion and eternity
What you wished me to be.

So I decided to be someone else
Who spoke and felt
And in remembrance I became her
Borrowing this foreign name.

I would like to dedicate these little and unimportant strophes…

… to Marie for being such a lovely lady and amazing girl to whom I wish a life of happiness and success with Ronald ;-)

…to Karo to make me cry with her so beautiful lines, & to her special roommate Robin for making laugh, think and for his open-mindness.

…to Xav’ for his support even if you don’t agree with me on all occasion!

…to Vito for his patience in spite of all I am pulling him through

…to Albi about who I am unable to make my mind, for the auld lang syne, the best ones as well as the worst.

…to Spica, Eos, Renaud, Saga, Peg, Luther, Waarl, Iphia, Elestre, Cluclu for having created the Saint Seya message board and making it such a perfect place.

To all the people in Sciences-Po : my dear Hubert, Marie-Lise, Cécile and Noémie ;-)

To Pauline, Olivia, Virginie and Isabelle for all these years by my side!

Dänke schön to Niamh, Helen, Deirdre and Thomund, *my* roommates :-)

Very special thanks to Korray that I will probably never see again but who had such a great impact on my life, thanks you for all your wisdom and insight, for your attention, words, laughter and dances. I will never forget these few days in Turkey, heaven! That day I began to live and maybe to love…

To the Corrs (Andrea (the true one!), Sharon, Caroline and Jim) for their music, an unexpected source of hope and inspiration sometimes!

En souvenir de Saxo, aussi, joli et griffu fantôme de mes nuits parisiennes!
