The Sea of Enchantresses and Sorcerors

By Abby, age 13

Authors Note: This is the final chapter that I had written. I meant to have
written a few more chapters back when I was 13.but somehow I didn't continue. I don't want to try writing anymore NOW, cuz I'm way too old to
be writing this kind of stuff, and alas, I have lost my sense of humor.

The Death of the King of Scarth

Oceana hated being the wife of the King, but she could do nothing about it. She was put under a spell so that she could not use her magic, and her sisters were banished from the kingdom. Even after marrying Oceana, the King of Scarth still continued in his evil ways. No matter how much Oceana pleaded, the King still continued to mate with all the women of the kingdom.

Everytime the King went away to do his business, Oceana and her son mourned over the death of Coracus, Oceana'a dead first husband, and cried over their horrible new life. The King never knew they did this, but if he did, he would have punished them severely. Oceana knew that she must save herself and her son from this man, but she could not, for she couldn't use her magic. She had to find her sisters. So when the King was away during the month of mating, Oceana found a subject loyal to her and sent him out to seek the five sisters. All of them had longer hair than they used to, for while they lived in the Caves of Doom, they had become stronger in their magic (in Anomia, the more power you have, the longer your hair is). Oceana and her sisters rejoiced in seeing each other again, and Oceana told them of all the sad things which happened in the kingdom (mind you that Oceania and Scarth are one kingdom at this point). The sisters, of course, agreed to help Oceana.

First they set free Oceana from the King's spell, so that she could use her magic. Then they devised a plan. After, the sisters left the palace and his until Oceana signaled them.

When the King returned to the palace from his mating, he was very tired indeed. Tired as he was, he was surprised at how strangely Oceana acted. She welcomed him home and laid many kisses on him. Even the prince wrapped his hand around the King's fin, saying how much he missed him. The King, for the first time in the marriage, felt sorry for neglecting the mer- queen, so he took her in his arms and kissed her neck. But he didn't notice that she wasn't returning his kisses. Instead she was carefully sending a stream of light to the hiding place of the five sisters. This was the signal. When he finished kissing Oceana, he looked up not to see a loving face, but an angry one.

She lifted up her arms and zapped him to the ground, making him powerless. At that moment the doors swung open and the sisters appeared. A look of horror came upon the King's face. All of them had their wands.

"You, the King of Scarth, who has brought so much pain to this ocean, I shall punish you in the name of Anomia!" cried Oceana, and all the sisters raised their wands to the ceiling and uttered their spells. One by one the red rays lit the room. Then Oceana lifted up her hands, and out of them came a dazzling white light. They shouted a final spell, and the array of lights descended upon him. He gave a scream, then all was still.

The magic stopped. The King of Scarth was dead. Oceana rejoiced, and so did the sisters and the entire kingdom.

The End Of my pitiful mermaid story :-p
