Title: Only words can express

Author: AnnaSun

Rating: G

Date: February 2004

I sit submersed in the letter you’ve sent me,

Your poignant black words entering my blood red heart,

Such beautiful words you have here,

It brings joyful salty tears to my eyes.

I love you this much,

Arms outstretched to show you,

Do you still love me?

I’m too ill to write to you,

My hands quiver before my eyes,

I wish you would understand,

How much on this earth you mean to me.

Promise me, promise me,

When I’m too ill to remember,

To remember us, my life, me,

Tell me about us, about our life,

A couple hand on hand on the beach,

Walking slowly in the sunset,

Your body clinging to me,

Arms around me not letting go,

Our lips entwined as one,

Expressing our love for each other,

Writing letters everyday,

Filling up the blank page,

That is now my face as I wake from this drug.
