Keni's Poems
#4: People

I know this is mostly freeform. But I appreciate this style. It doesn't
take much talent, just knowledge of rhythm. I'm still a little depressed
but I think this is pretty good.

People act as though they're perfect
Though that is impossible.
They think they know everything
Though that is impossible.
They don't think they hurt others
Though that is quite possible.
People don't acknowledge others
Simply because they are different.
I have seen many people.
I have been hurt many times.
These people act as if they don't know
The damage that they've caused.
They act is if they couldn't see my tears.
But wait, they could!
So what did they do?
They laughed.
People don't understand how I feel inside.
The love I have for simple things.
I defend simple things, for I have nothing else to defend.
I have little pride.
I have little talent in this twisted world.
I defend my few friends
And the simple things I love
From the monster of this world,
The people.
