"It's a dumb name," everyone at school teased him about. It was midnight.
He had snuck out of his two-story house by jumping out of his bedroom
window, which was only six feet off the ground. Right now he was in an
alleyway full of garbage cans and dumpsters. He had been coming here for
about two weeks just to be alone. He felt like everyone hated him. That's
why he hated everyone accordingly. Besides having garbage containers, the
alleyway had many boxes and the entrance to the alleyway was hardly visible
and was usually had no people or any animals except a few spiders.
Jerry didn't mind spiders. But tonight was different. Someone was there.
And he wanted Jerry's future years. The killer was wearing black clothes.
So was Jerry except he wasn't wearing a black ski mask. The killer raised a
bloody knife showing the evidence that he had already killed tonight. Jerry
saw his life flash before his eyes. He saw himself crouched in a corner in
the kindergarten room snarling at anyone that made a friendly attempt to
offer friendship.
How he had started a fight in fourth grade with a person who had friendly
joked with him. He watched himself mistreat people over and over and over.
His eyes started to swell with tears after he had finished watching his
life. Jerry wished he could make it up to those people he had mistreated
all his life.
"If I life to see the sunrise," Jerry silently promised himself. "I will
treat them better."
He never got to keep that promise. Directly after that moment the knife split his head in half.
