Let my sky cry unsalted rain-tears
May the lightning flash its glare upon thee
And the thunders bellow its angry call;
Bring on the storm, fierce and mighty.
I want to feel the wind on my face,
Have truth's tornado sweep me away
Send the gale, sound the siren-
There will be no light today.
Let it live! May the sky swirl in its revenge
These sands have long thirsted for rain
Return to the earth what is rightfully hers
End her misery, her unlawful pain.
Let it fall! Let the rain wash me clean
May it dissolve the lies, regrets of past
I will spread my wings and fly through
This storm; may it forever last.
