A/N: Not too sure the title fits that well...

The Road Of Love Is Often Too Long

She can watch him only from afar,

As he lies on the sand, watching the stars,

She can’t get too close or he’ll realise,

The love that girl has, that she has clumsily disguised.

He watches the stars twinkle above his head,

And she takes that step closer, her cheeks burning red,

He smiles to himself, and his eyes close,

He moved just slightly, and the girl froze.

She’s scared of what he may (or may not), be feeling,

She wondering whether her love’s worth believing,

Unaware that his thoughts are of her,

She turns and runs away, just as he begins to stir.

He sits up and sees her fleeting figure disappear,

And she continues to run, consumed in her fear,

His smile disappears, and his jaw falls to the floor,

As he realises that he’s never loved anyone more.
