Somewhere

Somewhere there's a place
Where the roads are made of rainbows
The sunbeams are the sidewalks
And there is room for everyone

Somewhere there's a place
Where fences are only decoration
Where you never need to act
And you never need to cry

Somewhere there's a place
Where money is not an issue
That is run by generousity
And the word 'greed' does not exist

Somewhere there's a place
Where you can feel good without hurting another
Where you don't need to strive for perfection
And doors are never locked

Somewhere there's a place
With fields that stretch forever
And where water is only crystal clear
With beautiful painted skies

Somewhere there's a place
Where materials and possessions need not matter
Where the plants are always green
And the stars wink every night

Somewhere there's a place
Where a bad choice teaches a lesson
And there's no reason to worry
And everyone's heart is open

And best of all, to reach this place
You need not have to die
Just anytime you need reassurance
Smile and close your eyes

.~*~.

I really like this one. Reminds me a bit of Imagine by John Lennon, kinda. The world described here isn't perfect, but just nicer. It's not paradise or heaven or anything... just a dream. An imagination. Dated August 26th, 2003.
