A seed is planted.
It is watered,
the sun shines down on it.
A sprout grows, turning into a stem.
In time appears
a leaf,
a bud,
a flower.
With seeds of its own.
The sun shines and the rain falls.
Winter comes, freezing rain.
The flower is iced over.
Petals fall,
the stem wilts.
It is covered with snow.
Later
the snow melts.
The weather warms.
A seed is planted.
And it grows,
And develops,
and dies.
And grows again.
And dies.
And grows.
And each flower is the same,
yet different.
New.
