Mending Hearts
By: Caitlin Joy

-

How can you mend a broken heart?
When all that you have is a needle.
How can you mend a broken heart?
When you're missing that piece of string.

-

I have looked far and wide.
By the rules I will not abide.
This thing called love I have yet to find...
All it seems to do is hide.

-

Traveling on the mountains.
Sipping drops of dew.
The lakes, purer, the sky, brighter,
But my feelings are still blue.

-

Maybe that ray of sun,
Will hit and this will be done.
I keep hoping and wishing and praying-its true,
But all I know, is I-LOVE-YOU!

-
So

How can you mend a broken heart?
When all that you have is a needle.
How can you mend a broken heart?
When you're missing... that piece.... of string.
