When all else is gone
Hope will still remain
The light in the dark
The banisher of shadow

When things look bleak
Nothing goes the way it ought
A light shines forth
Hope in a darkened world

When time presses on you
And shadow covers your soul
Hope pierces the darkest night
Scattering shadows in its wake

When you’re all alone
And darkness closes and surrounds
It will stay, be a comfort
Hope lends strength to carry on

When you find yourself adrift
In this storm-tossed world
Hope will guide you to shore
Pass the bar and reef.
