Burning
Crystal flames surround me,
consume me.
Still I feel nothing.
My ears decieve me,
I hear the wind
And the wind only
The blue flames rise,
to dance mockingly before my face
I see the watchers dance
The flames,
They are around me,
Are in me
My body is bound,
bound to an ebony stake
But my soul is free
Flames rage,
I am black against the blue light
Robes flutter in the fire-wind
My soul,
it slips from one green star to another,
dances in the light
The flames whirl around me
then there is a terrible darkness
I am no more
My body, turned to ash
My soul has fled, no longer dancing
But hiding in shadows.
