People talk about it as though it’s the best thing on Earth,
And they laugh at those who start late,
But now I know the truth, and I’ve realised,
I know now, it’s not that great.
Maybe I chose the wrong guy,
The wrong time, and the wrong place,
Maybe it was all wrong, every last second of it,
How I wish I hadn’t taken part in that race.
If I could change the past, I would,
I’d much rather be sitting here, not crying,
My head hurts, my heart’s so bruised,
It seriously feels like I’m dying.
I can sit here in tears, feeling used by him,
My world’s spinning, my heart’s in a state,
I wish I could turn back the hands of time:
You know, it just wasn’t that great.
So my advice to those reading this so-called poem,
Never do what others want you to do,
You’ll end up hurting more than you ever thought possible,
And I just don’t want you hurting too.
-Carrie
A/N: I just hope it gives the message clearly. And to those who know me: don’t worry, I’m fine, really.
