Immortal Moon
Luminous beams of heaven fall
And grace the ground before me
The night shines in its everlasting glory
And the moon guides me
Far away I will roam
I will climb mountains and swim rivers
But each night I will lie
And stare up at that waxy yellow crescent
Tinted cream against the ebony
The twinkly eyes of God
Frame it like glitter
The stars call to my moon
Raisin-shaped craters
Are white as a unicorn's horn
They spin around me forever
The moon is immortal
And the night sky pulses on
As we move about like little ants
Never halting to notice the lunar essence
That fills our midnight souls
Goodbye, my lovely friend
The sun will perish you every dawn
But each night you will prevail
You are my immortal moon
