A Shoulder to Cry On
I can't believe how long it's been,
We've known each other since we were ten.
But ever since this last year,
You are the only one I loved,
The only one, for which I care.
We flirt and teased,
I tried to give it up.
Because I knew you were perfect,
And I was just a mutt.
Then, not to long ago,
Maybe a month or so.
I confessed my love,
And insisted it was true.
Before I knew it,
You admitted it too!
My heart was in mid air,
Flying on wings of love.
You took it and held it in your grasp,
Then whispered sweet lies.
"I won't hurt you."
"I'll never leave you."
But the words you whispered the most,
. . Were the ones I believed were most true. . .
"I love you"
But guess what,
I just found out you lied on that too!
You don't know I know this. .
you just believe I'm dumb.
Now I see your back as you turn from my face,
What have I done?
Why are you ignoring me!?
I start to cry.
I start to bleed.
A bloody needle gripped in my hand,
I'm so numb I can't even feel.
I don't know why you've turned from me,
I've done nothing wrong.
But that's when He came into my life,
And volunteered His shoulder for me to cry on.
He listens as I spill my heart,
And embraces me from the light which I now despise.
I become enclosed by the darkness,
I revel in its hollowness and all the morbid cries.
Because no longer am I alone,
I have Him.
So until you turn back and face me,
Or at least till me what's wrong.
I'll forget you,
Because at least now I have a shoulder to cry on.

Okay. . .well this is the truth. . every word from my heart. . .This is my
morbid reality.
