I knew the truth
And of course, your prediction never happened.
You told me things,
Overwhelming things-
Painting my portrait to be a beautiful angel
Perfect in every way.
You told me that you weren't the person
I saw you as.
Well, I always knew and I still do
That I could never deserve
Someone as amazing as you
Even when you told me the exact opposite.
You told me to forget you
And I never, ever will.
