Toxic

Black is for these cracked ceramic tiles
Reflecting my tear-stained, grinning face
The laughter that you'll hear for miles
Is escaping from my cracked red lace

This harsh green sanity slipping away
Is all I'll need to lose for you
To see brown eyes fade day by day
My conscious stare is leaving too.

These pale hands supporting me
Supporting so much more than that
A gray much more than I could be
Is bowing with its white top hat

A dark blue conscious waving bye
Amidst the song of self-destruction
The toxic floating above your eye
Saying I'll see you after self-perfection.
