A steel bar lying on the ground covered in blood, I studied this for a long moment. Before walking over to it shoving my hands in the pockets of my trench coat. Before I could muster a thought the steel bar covered in blood was gone. No more than two seconds later the sirens went off I turned around quickly to see searchlights everywhere covering the prison. It wasn't until one went over me I realized I was in trouble, I dashed off like it was me they were looking for, I ran until I couldn't hear the sirens anymore of course this could also be the simple fact that they had been shut off, and I hadn't run any where at all. But I knew I had run at least some, I was out of breath and everything was dizzy.
I was on my knees hands supporting my by propping me up on the cement. I closed my eyes tightly and felt a burning sensation the whole time thinking 'why me'? I wasn't an escaped convict I wasn't in any kind of trouble, but I knew I could see that they were looking for me. A gun shot. And the city fell silent. I got to my feet as best I could, shaky, unstable. I walked for what seemed like hours then again the street never changed so I could have only been walking for minutes, seconds.
Or maybe even not at all? Finally before the dawn covered the darkened perilous white snow I reached home. Everyone has a place to call home right? After all in the blog that was my mind this is what I thought, everyone had a place to call home there was no one deserted nobody abandoned everybody had a family and lived happily ever after. Then I wondered as I kicked off my shoes and slung my coat over the back of the couch why do we have that prison? Is it so merciless that people try an escape? I put a hand on the back of the couch where my jacket lay and looked down.
Only to see a body lying there I jumped. He smiled at me long silver hair sparkling yellow eyes. I had never seen him before. "How did you get in here?" I said, I had every right to ask this was my house after all, he smiled at me that smile sent chills up and down my spine right down to my toes as well. His teeth were red, covered in a familiar substance as he smiled his eyes dilated.
"How did you get in here?" I was starting to become panicked, I took a step back knocking into a side table that had been moved and mind you without my permission "Funny thing that I person like you would be in a place like this." Another step back wards as he spoke his voice was snake like as his eyes and whole body. I was drunk, that's it. Maybe I had been at a bar and I'm so drunk that I just don't remember being there.
His body rippled like a heat wave over a fire place within no time he was standing right at my side, I felt something wet and dry run across my neck I soon realized this was his tongue. The blood from his lips now on my neck nearly losing my balance I grabbed onto him. He laughed and held me upright. "You've been hiding for so long." He said, completely ignoring my question, "I've no idea." I said I was so nauseous from the smell of blood that I could barely speak.
