Chapter 1: Hidokawa Hikaru

Kirei ne?

You know what it means, na? It means beautiful.

It’s weird don’t you think? Why? Well all I could say I’m a bit different from my schoolmates, because I like to do some things that others don’t do. Such as like I’m helping out with the teachers to carry something back to the storage, or to the room. Well some of the girls in my school doesn’t like me, but I have some friends yet they were the only one were kind to me and protected me.

Sagara Akiho or Aki just for short, Aki-san used to be a school gangster but now she became my friend since 2nd grade. Every time when some girls teased me, Aki-san came out and she’ll give them a tough fight which they give up so easily. The other one is Kinomoya Meia, she’s, um… a psychic or should I just say she could summon some dead spirits. I don’t want to tell you ‘bout her, well Meia-chan’s kindda like a shaman or a priestess but she’s different from any of them. She could summons any kind of dead spirits from the past and present, but I remember one time at 2nd grade when the girls bully me they said that they saw a ghost was floating next to Meia-chan but the teachers nor the boys didn’t believed from them. It’s strange that I have that kind of friends like Aki and Meia-chan.

Oh, and I have my other friend whose different from them. Miharu Jun, my only male childhood friend, just like Aki and Meia-chan he also protects me from the bully from the girls. Well, Jun-kun is only average just like me, but I remember somehow he used to be a bully when he was in kindergarten. Right now, he will do to protect me but he won’t fight against girls.

Oh, I forgot to introduce myself you all. Watashi wa Hidokawa Hikaru, I’m only 17th years old I studied at Fuirei High where my friends and I studied together at the same grade. I lived alone at a two story house, while my parents are working out on over-seas for their important business. I was living at Tokyo, Japan while my parents are somewhere at China or USA. But I’m alright being alone at the house, “As long I walked forward I’ll have a brighter future!”. That’s my one and only motto I’ve made myself.

======= 5:35 in early morning, I woke up as my trusty alarm clock goes on ringing. I really need to get up very early to school. If you’re really curious about my earliest morning, you’ll find out soon why.

I dressed myself while I looked at myself at the mirror on my room. My knee length bluish skirt and long sleeve white blouse with a red ribbon on my lower neck, they were really popular at my school. I always tied my red hair neatly with my red bow leaving two of my long bangs in front of my ears, so it won’t fall on my face while I was working on school. I look at my self in the mirror. It was straight and neat. And I was ready to go, but I need to eat some breakfast first before leaving home.

====== 6:01 I arrived at school very early. I went to the storage room where the brooms were put there. I wore an apron on my front body and I start cleaning at the corridors. After I clean out some mess for about 10 minutes, I heard some giggles of he girls. As it gets closer, I recognize at that person, it’s Daijouji Miroku. She was surprise as she and her friends saw me cleaning on the entrance corridor, and what did I do? I just gave out a smile, “Ohayo gozaimasu, Daijouji-san.” I greet to her politely. “Oh I didn’t know Hidokawa-san would continue to clean the corridor as usual, mh?” she said with a smirk on her face.

Before she and her friends were up to something, a girl with two long pigtails black hair with pair of cerulean eyes and wore the same uniform like I am suddenly arrived just on time. It’s Kinomoya Meia-chan. “What were you doing, Daijouji-san?” Meia-chan said. As they heard her voice, they got stiffed so suddenly with a scared look appearing on their face. “If you’re teasing Hikaru-chan, I’ll summon ***** right now.” She warned them. Then Daijouji-san and her friends ran away very fast, and I was relieved that they didn’t cause any problems because we might get scold by the principal. “Arigatou, Meia-chan.” I thanked her politely. “Taku you’re still like that since we all knew, Hikaru-kun.” another girl said behind Meia-chan.

The girl has long blonde hair which only reaches down on her shoulder; she has pair of ruby eyes like jewelry, and she was also wearing the same uniform just like Meia-chan and I. The blonde haired girl was also my friend, she’s Sagara Akiho. Aki looked at me with a pain look, “You should know that Daijouji will come and tease you every time when she and her friends see you cleaning.” She told me. And I reply with a polite smile, “Daijoubu, Aki-san. I’m used to it.” And Aki-san sighs with mushroom breathe.

Then a guy appeared whose about taller than us, he has short silver hair with few bangs above his forehead, he has deep green eyes, and he wore white polo inside of his green jacket with blue or black tie, blue slacks pants, and black shoes. He’s Miharu Jun. Jun-kun looked at me with a pain look just like Aki-san, “Hikaru-chan, aren’t you getting tired every time you get to school early and doing some clean up in the entrance corridor?” he said. “Nope. Besides this is my hobby.” I answer with a clam smile.

“Ah ohayo Hikaru-chan.” Another boy wearing with the same uniform of Jun-kun greeted me. And I greeted them back with a polite smile. Many boys enter the entrance hall way, and they always greeted at me and I greeted them back. While many boys greeted me, some girls didn’t greet at me but they ignore me. If you’re a bit curious why some girls hate me, I’ll tell you why. I was very gentle and talented and many boys liked me because I was kind to them which made the other girls so jealous of me. But that’s not all. I was the most popular girl in school, can’t you believe it? Ever since at 2nd grade I became a class president, many boys attracted me so much even at outside Fuirei High.

Class was over at last; Aki-san, Meia-chan, and Jun-kun need to pick up their brothers or sisters home, and I need to go at the department store. I walked down in the streets alone passing by so many stores. Then I stopped at one department store called Hall Mart my favorite place where I get to buy some stuff I need and like. I entered the store, every time I entered that story there was a lady and a man bowed politely and greeted me like all customers. I went to the 2nd floor, and I found the music sections. I looked at those CDs and tapes carefully, yet I can’t find a very nice one. “Hmm… they were all nice but, they’re so expensive.” I said with a sweat-drop.

I walked on the next section, without looking I bumped into a guy wearing a hat with black shades and a brown coat. We both land on the ground, and it hurts but I didn’t complain nor as the mysterious guy. I ow a little, and I looked at the guy, “Are you alright, mister?” I asked him with a worried face. I looked at the guy. His hat were off and so as his shades. The guy has short gray haired with deep blue pair of eyes. He looks so handsome without his hat and shades, but why on earth was he wearing like that in the department store? The guy looked at me and smiled handsomely, “Heki, heki(I’m fine), miss! It’s was originally my fault that I bump you because I wasn’t looking.” He said. “B-But…” I said as I get a little panic with my hands went different directions. He stood up and picked up his hat and shade and put them on. And then he took out his hands to me, and I took out my hand and stood up. Then I feel something different for him. My heart beats so fast.

As we stood up, I looked at him. “Umm… etto… why were you wearing like that here?” I asked him. The mysterious man scratch his head and he answered, “Because I don’t want anyone find me here. But don’t get wrong, miss. I’m not a thief.” He said. I don’t understand him what he was saying, but maybe he was famous on something. I gave out a polite smile at him, “Don’t worry I won’t tell anyone about your secret, mister.” I told him. The man looked at me, he was surprise that I understand his reason. He just smiled at me back, “Anyway what’s your name, miss?” he asked. “Watashi wa Hikaru, Hidokawa Hikaru, age 17 study at Fuirei High. Namae wa?’ I said. “Boku wa Tsukasa Hiroshii. Yorushko ne, Hikaru.” He said.

Before we could get to know each other, Hiroshii looked at his watched. “Oh no I need to go back!” he panic. Hiroshii started to run, “Ano Hiroshii-kun…” I tried to call him. Hiroshii looked at me back with a smile, “We’ll see each other sometime, Hikaru. Jaa ne.” he said and he disappears. Tsukasa Hiroshii… that name looks familiar to me… just where did I know that name? I asked myself.
