Kill the bloody pagan,
Run 'em through with rusty knives!
Ring them 'til their bones crack;
Watch them, see their disguise?
Don't listen to them, those liars,
Poison -that's what they'll feed.
And you'll die just like them
Choking on that need
To believe that it was true,
That we'll understand and tolerate.
They swear it's peaceful and right,
They swear we're so quick to hate.
Do not cry or mourn their passing
They're not in pain; they cannot feel.
We're saving and releasing their souls;
They're not like us; they can't be real.
Rebels and heretics!
People who are not adept
--they believe, their sure,
their way is good and should be kept.
Filthy, unholy and sinful things
Uncivilized, old and wrong.
People and ways too wont to dream
And things that are not strong.
AN: I should not have to explain that this is not my own opinion, but a
creative outlet, as I too am a pagan. It hit me when I was having a
conversation with a girl and she elaborated on her views, letting herself
listen to me. By the end, she was better for it, she said; so I went and
wrote this for her, a medieval, inquisition type-fanfic poem.
