For Nana
Author:
Matthew James Current PM
Wrote this the day my grandmother died. I didn't know her that well, I was just getting to know myself and to find myself when she passed away. She was a wonderful, intense, strong, willful, smart lady. I was pretty broken up when I wrote it.

With hands gently caress,
With words ease duress,
With arms comfort and mend,
With deeds sorrows attend,
Let feelings be nurtured and grow,
Let pain and regret be rendered hollow,
Let our spirits peaceful days know,
Let joy and laughter ever flow,
Allow us a time to grieve
Allow us to our memories sieve,
Allow us to accept sorrow and let it pass,
Allow us to drink from hope's soothing glass.
