Whatever happened to the simple days?

Whatever happened to our simple ways? Please explain, this new world to me, The world of the proud and the free.

Whatever happened to the laughs and the cheers? Whatever happened to facing our fears? Our world was turned upside-down, And it appears we still haven't touched the ground.

Why do live in fear this way? Why can't we live a normal day? I'm tired of always wishing, I'm tired of always wondering "why?"

Whatever it takes, Whomever it shakes, I will, stop this, I will, end this.

I will make things right again,

Everything will be alright, my friend.
