Calmly Sipping Tea

She sits there back erect
Her face a social mask
Hands folded neatly in her lap
I offer some tea
My hands shaking
My breathing coming out fast
My nerves visible
She smiles gently and accepts
I pour slipping some
I rush to tidy up
I don't want to be seen this way
I pass her the cup
She once again smiles and accepts
She sits there back erect
Calmly sipping tea
