First Day of Spring
First Peak Of sunshine
Seventy-degree weather
Snow begins to melt
Warmth caresses me
I lap up sun's attention
Rays of golden fall
No need for a coat
Just head out to run in a
Thawing field of grass
Leftover snow salt
Scrapes my defiant feet
They are bare and free
