Sometimes I feel so much older,

More freedom, I'm bolder,

My adult life is beginning,

While you are still sitting,

Waiting in the wings,

While faster I'm running,

Will you ever catch up?

If you can, hurry up!

I've been waiting so long,

In your arms, I belong,

I could never end this,

But there's so much strife to deal with,

Is real love a myth?

I thought you were strong,

But no, I was wrong,

I give up so much,

Just to feel your touch,

But my excitement is dying,

And I'm sick of crying,

Do I need to move on?

Please tell me, I'm wrong.

I don't want to live without you,

But I will if I have to.
