Seasons quickly fade away
No thoughts are given 'till the dying day
When they realize it's far too late
Nothing left, they bemoan their fate
Woe upon thee; all those who fail
Raise your swords in a mocking hail
A wailing sob and a heartless cry
Let not emotions cloud your good-bye
A fallen angel or is it so?
A secret none shall ever know
No refuge from the gods they had
But a soldier's heart in armor clad
They forgot themselves in a place unknown
And there it was that they died alone
And yet nothing was said of eternity
A cag'e'd soul who was not free
Dreams dashed on razor-rocks
A simple song the mockingbird mocks
They then wept to be so along
On an electric chair yet an iron throne
Take their sword by a rusted hilt
For none escap'e'd the cage they built
