**This poem goes along with the song from the Partridge Family, “I Think I Love You”.  It’s an old inside joke I used to have with some of my friends.**

“I think I love you”

I realized when I got lost in a forest of recollection.

“I think I love you”

When the radio plays our favorite songs

“I think I love you”

When I stare at you from across the room

Wishing you could be beside me again.

“I think I love you”

When I’m convinced life is only worth living

For love.

“I think I love you”

When I cry and curse and scream

All in the memory of you.

“I think I love you”

When I pound my fist through the wall.

“I think I love you”

When I tear up old photos

And through them into the depths of the sea.

“I think I love you”

When I stare at you from across the room

With disgust.

“I think I love you”

When I hate you.

“I think I love you

So what am I so afraid of?”
