Palisade by Ryan Schiff
Time has felt so light.
Light hearted and light minded,
Weighted down by boredom’s blight.
Now, a longer road I roam
My load, my living body lone.
It’s mine, my living palisade.
A citadel of what I’ve made,
Full of fading timelessness,
All wrought in fires in my mind,
All devoured by creeping time.
