It Won’t Be Enough

I look around and I’ve got everything,

Except the thing I want most of all,

Someone who loves me for who I am,

Someone to catch me when I fall.

Someone to care when my heart bleeds,

Someone to hold me close,

Someone whose kiss means so much,

Someone to be there when I need them most.

Someone whose love takes a hold of my world,

Someone who truly cares,

Someone so wonderful, honest and true,

Someone who’ll always, always be there.

But I look around, and that someone’s not there,

I cry, and still he doesn’t appear,

My heart feels cold and I realise,

That the love I crave is nowhere near.

Maybe it’s not fair to want a guy to love,

Maybe I already have too much,

I know I can’t have everything,

But without him, what I have is never enough.
