I’m losing control,
The threads unravel
Even as I try to grasp
At intangible feelings.

The means to my goal,
A stone lost in gravel.
Staring, lost, I rasp
Terms for this dealing,

Feeling the certainty
That what I want, need,
Is not what I shall get.
Feeling so lost, alone,

Eaten by uncertainty,
Believing I won’t succeed,
Beginning to fret
Dealing with the unknown.

I cannot cope,
I cannot deal,
I don’t know
What to do.

A lost hope,
It’s all surreal,
Just an echo
Of what I knew.

Well the ‘inspiration’ for this is the fact that there are some important exams coming up- if I don’t do well I can’t get on the course I wanna do and then I don’t get the career I want- no pressure right? smiles
