I’m really thank you very much for reviewing my story. And now here’s chapter 3.

Chapter 3: The Journey Starts Here

Rikku lead Ein and Rouji to her village that was located from the west. Her villages were more clean and fresh than the other village that Rouji had visit. And Ein was pretty amazed of the townspeople’s polite and well-mannered. As they walked on the streets, many girls were staring at Rouji’s good looks and his attire. Rouji could see that many pretty girls were ogling of his handsome looks, and yet it also made him uncomfortable.

“Ano…”

Rouji open his mouth just to ask Ein and Rikku, but he was quickly surrounded by girls. He had no idea that he was quickly attract of his looks but not just that. They also want him to be their /glump/ BOYFRIEND. As he was surrounded by those pretty girls, these remind him from the old days back from his own world. Yes. He remembers he was the most popular boy in his school, and he even has fan CLUBS. By the girls who think he’s hot and handsome, while the boys think that he’s cool and everything. Yet, it also made him so uncomfortable at those things that he hated most. Then he felt someone was trying to pull him away from the crowd. It was Rikku and Ein.

“Umm… thanks guys.” He answers.

“Don’t mention it, Rouji. But boy, you sure really attract those pretty women at your strange clothes.” Ein said.

“But Rouji doesn’t like it, ne?” Rikku said with a sigh. “Anyway I’ll lead you guys to my home.” She added.

Rikku lead them the way, until they reach at the south gate. They were at the forest again, but it was different from the last sight of the forest. It has no monster in here, so it must be more safe for people to travel around there. They continue to walk there until they reach at the old temple, yet it was enormous for an old temple.

“Sugee! This temple sure was so big!” two lads exclaimed,

“This is my home, Rouji, Ein.” She told them.

“EEH? You mean you live here in this TEMPLE!?” Ein said in very shocking surprise.

The blue haired girl didn’t say anything, but she still continues to lead them the way to the main hall of the Temple. The main hall was so enormous and very neat just like a dojo house for some karate or kendo club.

“Could you guys wait I’ll call the Elder Priest, right away.” She said.

“Elder Priest?” Rouji wondered.

“Yep, you could say he’s the high person of this temple.” She answers.

Rikku walked away in the hall leaving Ein and Rouji behind. While they’re waiting for Rikku’s return, they just sat down in the main hall positional.

“Hey Rouji can I ask you some question, how did you change your clothes and how did you have those powers and weapon?” Ein asked him.

Rouji doesn’t know how he could answer Ein’s question but he answered anyway, “I also don’t know how I got those. All I could remember that I was in the darkness alone. Then something has brightened me up that I should protect someone that I promise with. Well—that’s all I remember. Sorry that I couldn’t answer well.” He said.

The Main Hall was in silence for awhile, until Rikku came back with an old man wearing orange kimono with a long handkerchief-like above his head and two more priest and priestess wearing plain white clothes. The Elder Priest sat down with a highly positioned.

“So you must be Arashi Ein, and Kogyama Rouji who save our Rikku from the enormous Truma Bull, am I right?” the Elder Priest questioned the two lads.

They nod respectfully at the priest.

“Then Rouji, tell us everything about before your arrival from here.” He said.

Rouji told them the whole story. About his real home, the mysterious voice, the dreams he had from the beginning, the light, and everything that he knows what happens to him. The Elder Priest listened to him from every word, Ein and Rikku awed in amazement. Then he understands what that means.

“Kogyama Rouji, you said you don’t live here, and you came here because the voice told you to come here, right?” he asked him.

“Yes, but I came from another place where no one knows Tokyo. But I still don’t know whose that voice was.” Rouji answers.

“… This could be meant… you’re the Legendary Warrior that the legend has spoken through 500 years ago.” He said.

“Huh? What are you saying, Elder Priest? You said something the same line like Rikku.” Ein said so confusedly at the priest’s words.

“Is true that Kogyama Rouji came from another place but he said that the voice sent him here, and your clothes were changed into white sleeveless, right? So it means he’s the Legendary Warrior that we’ve been expecting for his arrival and to save our world.” Rikku said. “Take a look at your right side.”

Rouji and Ein looked at their right side like Rikku told them. There’s a highly colored picture with a picture showing different kinds of disaster, monsters were showing up, and the people of the village were panicking of the situation. And at the top of the picture, there stood a young lad wearing different attire, and he was holding up a sword defeating the monsters. Ein was amazed as he saw the Legendary Warrior’s suit were familiar to Rouji.

“Hey that guy has the same suit as Rouji was wearing.” He exclaimed.

=Rouji’s POV=

I don’t understand what everyone is saying, yet I’m still confused at the Elder Priest and Rikku. I still couldn’t understand at them, and what’s the Legendary Warrior all about? And I don’t look like one… Is that true? But they have shown me and Ein the picture, and the guy in the picture… he wears the same clothes as I wore right now and also he looks familiar… Where have I saw him?

=End of Rouji’s POV=

Before Rouji could say a word, a giant monster barged in the Main Hall. It was really ugly, three horns on its head, one eye on the middle above his forehead, and it has the body of a Cyclops. Yet this Cyclops was really humongous than they have ever seen.

“What the heck is that thing doing here?!” Ein exclaimed.

“This is not good! That Cyclops is beyond someone’s control!!” the Elder Priest said.

Before Rouji could get his actions to attack the Cyclops, it hit him very hard. Rikku got so worried and hurt as she saw Rouji was being hurt so badly by the monster. She went near at the wounded lad, and she place her both hands over Rouji. And then something was glowing on her hands. Ein and the Elder priest could barely see Rouji’s wounds was about to be heal. Rouji could barely open his eyes and saw Rikku beside him with her eyes closed and he felt the pain was gone and the wounds were disappearing. Then Rikku finished healing him. She looked at him.

“Are you alright now, Rouji?” she asked him.

Rouji didn’t answers her question, but he stared at her in disbelief and amazed after he saw Rikku’s mysterious healing power. He really can’t believe such an ordinary girl like her has that kind of powers. But then he remembered the words from his home before coming Chaos. Could this be the girl that he saw was Rikku? Before he could even asks her, he saw the monster was about to attack them. And so he pulled himself and Rikku out of the way.

“DARN IT! It’s no time sitting around and to gazed outs! EIN! I need your help!” Rouji shouted.

“With a pleasure, Rouji.” Ein smiled and he starts to aim his arrows at the monster.

While Rouji and Ein are fighting against the monster, the Elder priest watched the two lads. Then he was amazed as he saw Rouji’s fighting actions and style were very familiar from the man of the legend. He was totally amazed as he watched them fighting together.

“That lad with the strange outfit, is he the one!” he exclaimed surprise.

“Ima na*, Rouji!” Ein shouted.

Rouji nods at Ein, before he could use to summon his sword. He felt some dark aura around his space, and he couldn’t summon his weapon. Then there’s some strange drawings and some letterings appearing out from nowhere. His eyes were widening as he read one by one.

Use that technique, Kogyama Rouji. A man’s voice told him. Use it to save the innocents.

Rouji doesn’t know what he’s doing but then he clasps his hands together. Without thinking he started to chant like the voice have said.

The elder priest heard the mysterious chant, and yet his eyes were widened in surprise. That chant can’t be really used or to be learned by any commoner, but only a priest or a high ranked person could only learn. But that chant was more different from theirs. As Rouji finished his chant, his eyes become different then something came out behind him. A giant black hole appeared behind Rouji.

“METEORIC SHOWER!!!” Rouji commanded.

“Meteoric Shower?! That technique…!” he exclaimed.

The shower of meteors came out from the black hole ad starts attacking at the monster. It hit the monster directly as it dies. The battle was over, Ein and Rouji were so exhausted from the battle. And yet they have succeeded as they work on together for the first time. Rikku and the priest were very surprise the battle and the techniques. As for Rikku, she was staring at Rouji filled with happiness. Yet she fainted because she used the mysterious powers to heal Rouji’s wound. Luckily the other priests and priestess sent her to a soft bed to let her rest for awhile until she wake up. Rouji took a short breathe.

“Where did you learn that technique, Rouji?” the Elder asked him

“I don’t know where I learn that chant. But that voice just told me from my mind to use that kind of technique, that’s all.” Rouji answers. “But for somehow I wonder where I heard that voice before…” he whispers.

“Hahahahahaha.”

They heard an evil hysterical laugh of a man coming from the middle of the hall. They saw nothing from there, but they saw a pair of red eyes from a black fog. Yet they could not see the person’s true face. The mysterious eyes stared at Rouji.

“You’re Kogyama Rouji desu ka?” the voice said.

“Huh? How did you know my name?” Rouji asked him.

The red eyes didn’t answer him back but he looked at Rouji’s attire and his looks. He reexamines at him again, and he smile evilly.

“Just as I suspect you do have the same look, the actions and that technique you use now from him.” he said.

“What do you mean by that?” the Elder questioned him.

“But I didn’t expect that there’s someone who has the same as ‘him’ could fight me back from the old days. But I’ll let you all live. We’ll meet again soon, Kogyama Rouji.” He said.

Before Rouji, Ein and the Elder priest could ask the mysterious enemy. It vanished in the thin air. They were surprise that an enemy had appeared today, yet they couldn’t understand what that creature was saying about Rouji. But right now they must clean up the mess that the monster has damage the temple. The Elder priest watched at Rouji with a serious look.

“Kogyama Rouji… That man must be the one, The New Legendary Warrior.” The Elder priest whispers.

At that night, Rouji was staring at the beautiful full moon. He was so confuse and very curious at what he did today. He thought about that over and over again. He even tried to hurt himself, yet he still could feel the pain(But it still hurt!). Then he gazed again at the moon, and he thought of the mysterious voice. Yet he still wants to know why. And then he heard a small sound coming from near his place. He looked up at the person. It was Rikku standing beside him smiling.

“Oh it’s you, Rikku. Daijoubu?” he asked her.

“Heki, heki, Rouji.” She answers.

She sat down next to Rouji, and she gazed at the full moon with him. It was very quiet as they both are staring at the beautiful moon. Rouji stared at Rikku secretly. Rikku looks like an ordinary girl but how did she has that kind of strange healing power. Rouji wanted to ask her, but she started to talk first.

“Ne Rouji do you think it’s strange that I have a power like I have?” she asked him.

“Huh? Why did you say that, Rikku?” he asked her confusedly.

“Well… You saw it right? To tell you the truth, the Elder priest found me when I was only a baby. They don’t know who were my parents was and where do I came from. But only this necklace of mine left to me.” She said.

She took something from her neck and shown it to Rouji. Rouji examine at Rikku’s necklace. Yes it does look so mysterious. It was a gold two circle with a blue crystal in the middle. It also has some strange cravings that he had ever seen. He examines at the strange necklace again, and then he was shock as he knew that necklace from the illusion back home before he lost conscious.

“Ano… daijoubu desu ka, Rouji?” Rikku asked him worriedly.

“A… Iie. Nandemonai(it’s nothing), Rikku.” He answers and returns the necklace back to her.

“Demo… I also wander myself why do I come to this world? And what did that freaky pair of red eyes telling me that I’m that man?” he said.  

The next day, the Elder priest held a very important meeting at the great hall with Rouji, Ein and Rikku.

“So what do you want to do, Rouji?” the Elder asked him.

“I decided… to… go on the journey!” Rouji declared. “I want to know who was that voice sent me here and why must I come here. That’s why I want to go on the journey, to find the answer!”

“… So that’s your final decision. No regret?” the priest asked him.

Rouji looked at the priest with determined eyes. The priest looked at the lad’s eyes and studied very carefully. Then he sighs softly and smiled out.

“Then you must pack out for your journey, Rouji. It’ll be a difficult and long journey.” He said.

“If Rouji’s going… Then I’ll come too! I want to know about my real self from my birth.” Rikku exclaimed.

“If Rikku and Rouji are going, then I’ll come along too. It’s better if more people come if we had different skills on the journey.” Ein said.

“Hmm… Very well, please be careful on your journey, Rouji, Ein, and Rikku.” He said.

=Elder Priest’s POV=

Kogyama Rouji, Siren Rikku, and Arashi Ein those youngsters are now the new warriors of the legends. But that Kogyama Rouji, his looks and actions were familiar to someone I know from the old Warrior over 500 years ago. But right now there’s a new problem, and they must be stop by that mysterious evil. Rouji, Rikku, and Ein I wish you luck on your journey.
