Mind Alien
I have been mind-speaking to Mirai for about five days now. I hope Julie
doesn't ruin everything like she usually does. It is nearly over!
Anyway, I guess you want me to tell you who I am, who Julie is and who
Mirai is. First of all, I am Tristan Davis. I am twelve years old, I wear
thick-lensed glasses and I am space freak. Julie is my twin sister and
Mirai is an alien.
Yeah, I know what you are thinking, like everyone else I have told. They
think I am wacko, caboomas, crazy, insane. You do too, hey? Well, I can
make you believe me.
Ask Julie.
She, being my "identical" twin, has an "identical" mind to mine. Which
means she hears everything that Mirai says to me, which is scary because in
our last conversation, Mirai told me that her galaxy, Galacia, was in
danger. She said that an alien wizard called Xgon X had made a monster
called Typhornt, to destroy Galacia.
So Julie and I were on our way to Galacia to kill Typhornt and save the
galaxy and all the aliens in it.
Weird, hey? Rescuing an alien galaxy? That's that Julie and I thought until
we met Mirai's family.
Apart from being really ugly, they gave Julie and I "space cakes" and not
to mention all the Milky Ways!
Then they sent us on our way to destroy Typhornt.
He was ugly! Hideous! Disgusting! He was also strong. He picked Julie up
and tossed her over his head. She screamed and landed on the ground with a
sickening thud.
Then there was silence. I watched helplessly as Typhornt descended on me.
He picked me up and opened his mouth.
Slowly, very slowly, he moved me towards his teeth. I was getting closer
and closer and his teeth were gnawing and gnashing. I closed my eyes and
screamed.
"Aaaaaaaahhhrrrrggggggghhhhh!"
When I opened my eyes, light bulbs were flashing and people were cheering,
clapping, stamping and whistling. I smiled down at Typhornt, who took me
out of his mouth and onto the stage floor. He wasn't real, he was
mechanical. Bud, a grade 12 boy was doing the controls off-stage. He did a
thumbs-up sign to me.
Julie got up off the mat she had landed on and Mirai came on stage.
We all held hands and bowed. Then we stood back and let the minor stars
bow, to more cheering of the audience.
Julie and I smiled at each other. Mirai's glitter on her face shone.
We were big stars.
We are actually touring at the moment. This is our last stop before going
to the biggest place in the world for a huge finale.
Our last stop is Earth.
