FIXation

Glamourous sort of addiction
liiike ... crystal shards and the relish of failure
Your hair is browned honey and moonlight
Glistens innocently under your nose - blood, that is, foolish child
Oh,you're just so beautiful
sell it all for one more fix
It's an intangible sort of addiction
... oh, indeed
the kind anyone would be lucky enough to be perfect enough to have
if they were YOU.
perfect enough to be lucky enough to be to betobetobe
heads turn in abashed silence
oh, beautiful, yes, so refined and pristine
selling yourself for one more fix
a hypocrite's wet dream, a YOUR worst nightmare
in this pool of glamourous, glamourous fixation
glamour - so nobody can be a hypocrite but you
because you've got IT
poison the crystal and watch them squirm
selling yourself for one more fix - with newfound humility
(beautiful lucid hypocrisy ... it's MY sort of addiction)

Author's Notes: This started off innocently enough, you know. Then suddenly, all this completely unbidden hostility towards a someone-or-other poured out, and I didn't know I felt like this. So you know what? This “poem” sucks something ferocious, but I've just learned something about myself, and you've been a part of it by reading it.

So don't you feel just so very special and precious now.

Love and angst,
Vivica
