| When Love Has Died
Author: Amilyi I little poem that came to me one day and, as always, I felt compelled to write it down. The title basically speaks for itself. I'm not so sure if it fits under the angst category...but that's how I feel. Please R&R

When Love Has Died.
'Love is no more', so I am told,
by old and young, naïve and wise,
And all have valued sight of gold
Above emotion unseen by mortal eyes.
*
'Love is dead' the bards surmise.
They travel far and wide, so they should know.
The young couples tell themselves only lies
To tread a life-path they feel compelled to follow.
*
But Love is part of everything
In moonlit nights and dreary days
It sleeps beneath the swallow's wing
And rises with the blooms in May.
*
Only when the nightingale no more will cry –
That is when all Love shall die.
Amilyi Marraan.
A/N: …I'm not keen on those last two lines. I actually found this quite depressing to write at the time, despite not being in a depressed mood beforehand. I suppose it's because I truly believe that all love has died, and writing from the 'other perspective' didn't change my super-cynical ways.
