Cry of Heaven, Scream of Hell
Hear the cry of heaven,
Resist the scream of hell,
In this life love is craven,
In that place goodness quails.
White wings of gentle dreams,
Black eyes of horror and fright,
Red fire, brimstone, screams,
Bright skies, warmth, and light.
As different as white and black,
Always fighting for our hearts,
No chance to turn your back,
One life ends, another starts.
Inside our souls are enslaved,
Struggling to be free,
Can our souls be saved,
Or is it impossible for it to be?
Some are so lost here,
Content with being enslaved,
No feelings of hope, no fear,
They do not know how hope can save.
