My mind is left in disarray
Contrasting thoughts keep pouring in-
Unable to understand your intentions for me...
Hoping of you to shed light upon me.
And while my heart could shatter in your presence
I watch it piece itself back together,
Waiting to be broken again.

I now exist in this hopeless room
With a screen glaring at my face,
Revealing my life back to me...
And with a remote in hand,
I push the buttons.
Wishing to rewind all the pain,
Wishing to rewind it to yesterday...

The day which you held me close
A moment washed in its own aura
Lifting all the hearts and minds away
Hoping to enjoy one more peaceful day,
At last!

But all that’s left,
After your heart disappeared from sight
Is the sweet scent of you...
