- ~ -Power to Deny- ~ -

I'm perfectly calm,
I never have stress
The shaking in my hands
Just phsycosomatic, I guess

It's all good
And I'm just fine
So the crashing waves
I simply never mind

The thoughts are there
But they're just pretend
I refuse to believe
There could ever be an end

You see tears
I feel only rain
Because people who cry
Are people in pain

But I'm not the same
I never will be
I tell myself no to
And I listen to me

So those who say I'm human
Are telling a vicious lie
I will never be human
No matter how hard I try

They are weak
They are small
And I'd rather be
Nothing at all

...This is not true
I know I lie
But it IS my power
To deny

Deny my words
Deny yours too
Deny even-
That the sky is blue

If I refuse to believe
Any of this is real
Then I don't have to see
I never have to feel*

That I'm just one of many,
Someday I'll be swept away
By someone else's future
While clinging desperately to yesterday.
