A moon, the sand and lapping waves,
A tear that fell,
then blew away.
A fear of loss,
so soon fulfilled,
is all that I,
have left of you.
Oh how I wish,
that it could be,
but you have her,
and don't need me.
You have gone,
just like the rain,
but not can stop,
the hurtful pain,
that you have caused,
unintentionally,
for you have her,
and don't want me.
A bird on the wind,
to music it soars.
Over mountains and valleys,
broad plains and moors.
A note of music,
equal to life,
has left me here,
on a dark, rainy night.
I know that I,
have been here before,
but the notes on this page,
are familiar no more.
A dream that slipped,
then blew away.
A once un-written music page,
has now come to a silent stop,
as though the melody was not,
what people far and wide had heard,
believed to be the music pure.
The hidden melody was lost,
beside the burning flame,
that now has turned the light to gray,
and left me in a midnight day,
That fades and moves,
Just like the tide,
Ever and on,
Though time goes by.
