Author's Notes: These are exerts from a girl's diary. She lives in the future, where the entire Earth is the country of America, a communist community: everybody owns everything; everybody shares everything. Knowledge is unknown, for there are no schools. There also aren't rules. I know it's a bit confusing, but it'll get better. Plz read & review!!!

Dear Diary,
Kabba-labba-heidi-hoh! I have just received u 4 my b-day! I am so excited, as u can tell from my greeting words. Actually, I received u 4m my amigo, Yellie, 4 helping her w/her HW, but she gave it 2 me 2day, & it can't only b a coincidence that she would give u 2 me on my b-day.
I guess I'd better tell u 'bout myself, huh? I love my long dark hair. I seem 2 b the only 'feme that still wears her hair down. Most of 'em these days have spikes, Mohawks, chikas, or just go bald. Everyone thinks I'm weird (except Yellie) because I leave my hair down. I also have pretty brown eyes, which, in my pappi's view, r a disgrace 2 the world. He thinks just like everyone else in the world: the perfect being is 1 who dresses michka. IOW, has wacko hair, shows excessive skin, & wears contacts n every abnormal color.
The styles that we wear 2day r nothing compared 2 what people wore thousands of years ago. I guess I'd better explain 2 u right now that I am a total lover of the olden-days. Yellie says that someday I'll turn more normal, but I highly doubt it. For instance, I am the only 1 n my family who seems 2 care 'bout r history. Once, I asked Pappi where we originated from, but he got really mad & smacked me. Nobody seems 2 care 'bout r ancestors n-e-more.
I got on the lab once & looked up a site 'bout it on the Net. I found out loads of stuff. My family is actually part Chinese, & I seem 2 b the only 1 who cares. It seems that Chinese people used 2 wear kimonos & sandals. That's all I've read, but I'll find out some more later. Right now, I'm working on sewing a kimono 4 myself. I'll tell u 'bout the pattern later.
I read somewhere that there was a time when the world was divided into different continents, & they were usually divided by large bodies of water called oceans. Then, within the continents, there were countries, & within the countries, there were states. Within the states were cities, & within the cities were neighbor hoods. That's not how the world is 2day. Now-a-days, there r no oceans. The world is 1 big cement ball. The only water I know of is in rivers. And that thing 'bout the world being different countries. That's weird. Everybody knows that the world is all America. We're 1 big planet.
Also, I once heard that there used to be a constitution. A constitution is some kind of document-like thing. A constitution has rules. I have no idea what rules r, but I read that rules r things that limit u're doings. That's crazy. Anybody can do whatever they want & whenever they want 2 do it. I also read about people called police officers who supposedly stopped crimes. What a crime is, I have no idea.
Well, I'd better go. My pappi's startn' 2 yell again.
Yours truly,

_
