The Tears

The liquid of pain slides down my cheek

While my insides feel as if they will tear

My control finally reaching its peak

And my feelings are let out of their lair

I remember the light that shone from your face

Though I never paid attention to it until it was too late

I didn't realize until you had to leave this place

That in my heart you had held open a gate

Now you are gone, far away from me

And my heart clenches at the thought

My cheeks are damp with the tears of the sea

As I realize that this cannot be fought

So I sit here alone in the dark night

Understanding why had left here

Images of you still buring bright

Making me wish you were near
