The Spinning Compass

I am a spinning compass in five syllables,
A shade in a haunted house,
An alligator strolling on cats paws,
And a devil with an angles compassion,
I bound the pessimist, and lost the optimist,
I am Pandora's friend, Dagda's servant, Ra's companion,
I am nobody with the will of a thousand,
I am one voice with the strength of a gale,
I am the reader and the censor,
The sinner and the saint
Blue fire in red ice,
I'm living in a dream, and now I make the rules.
