I'll Be Missing You
In all my days of sunshine
In all my days of rain
You were there beside me.
A wonderful friend and companion
True to the very end.
Now in our last moments together
I look deep into your face
Memorizing every detail
I may never see again.
You smile.
You laugh.
I do the same.
Yet deep inside my heart aches.
It aches for the times I will not be seeing you
It aches for the times I will not be spending with you anymore.
Friendship is like wine.
In a bottle called time
It sweetens and refines itself.
That is how we'll be.
I wish things did not have to be this way.
I really want you to stay.
With me, by my side.
Sharing our joy and pain together.
But I know that no matter how many miles away you may stand,
You're still close to me in my heart.
May angels watch over you, dear Friend.
I'll be missing you.
I already do.
God Bless,
Joann.
