Angel Wings

By: Gigglygal

Sakura Tachica kicked a rock as she walked home from school. "Bakas." she mumbled angrily. The brunette caught up with the rock and kicked it again. Unfortunately, she missed and fell on her rear. "Fuck you rock." She screamed, slightly shocked at what she had just said, but like she really cared. She stood up and brushed herself off.

For Sakura, life was a struggle sometimes. She had epilepsy, and she was frequently teased, even though she was on medication and hadn't had a seizure in a year. People didn't know a single fat about it, so they acted like it was the funniest thing. To Sakura, she thought it was no big deal, though her classmates seemed that it was a grand excuses to publicly humiliate her. That, to her, was the nastiest thing a person to do.

She was home, so she walked in, slamming the door behind her. "Honey, what did they say to you?" her mother asked, anticipating this scenario.

'What they always so, in a nutshell." She said irritated (my own word), studying her nails. Damn, she had bit them when she wasn't supposed to. 'I spent 20 (I have no idea the amount of yen that would be so I used dollars) on that special stuff.' She thought angrily, objecting at the fact that she could never stop biting her nails. It was a nervous habit, and VERY hard to break. Could it be that she wasn't trying?

'Honey, don't listen to them. You always know what they are going to say. Why are you afraid of them?'' her mother asked sweetly. That was what Sakura hated most about her mother. She expected Sakura to always be a superhuman. Sakura was shy and delicate, but her mom just didn't except that.

"Do you have epilepsy? Do the people tease you like it is the funniest thing ever? Did you even know that the teachers do too? No. You don't know a damn thing about it. You expect me to be so much that I can't be. Sorry I can't stand up for myself well. Sorry I'm not the ideal daughter. Sorry that I'm not perfect. I'm sorry that I am the only person in this family who hasn't achieved perfection. Sorry, but I don't have Sora's basketball skills, or Kari's grades, or Sana's writing potential. I'm not special. I don't have any talent. When I get out of high school, I don't know what I will do. I don't see a future in me. Stop trying to transform me into my goodie-goodie two shoes sisters. Those bitches treat me like I am a five headed alien from Mars." Sakura cried, as a few tears rolled down her cheek. Her mother would never understand.

"Honey, that isn't true. No one is perfect. Look, you can play football (to people in the US, football is the term everywhere else in the world for soccer. I am talking about American soccer, not American Football)." Her mother said encouragingly.

"Not well." Sakura said, squashing her mother's idea down the drain. "Anyway, I have to do homework." She added, dragging her books upstairs.

Sakura hated homework, but less than her parents and especially her stuck-up sisters who get praised for walking. Compared to her sisters, homework was a complete joy to her. As she would always say, "Those fucked up bitches." Nothing was worse to her than her sisters. Even the teasing at school was better than them. They treated her like the most embarrassing thing ever. When their friends came over, they would lock Sakura in her room, making sure she couldn't embarrass them. If a friend found her, her sisters would kick her in the face. Her mother wouldn't do anything to stop them, as she thought that they were too perfect for a petty kick or punch couldn't even touch their reputation.

She did her homework, but fell asleep while doing her math. She woke up too early.but she wasn't in the mood for math anyway.

She was asleep for 4 hours when she heard glass shattering. She opened her eyes. Everything was blurry, but she could make out a man. He walked up to her and pointed a gun at her head. She tried to scream and attract attention to herself, but nothing could come out. She was frozen in fear.

"Honey, come with me, or I'll shoot you." The man said in a deep voice. He wanted to kill her.

Ok, angsty at the moment, but will not be like that for long. I was going to make the gun a knife at the stomach, but I want to keep this PG-13. No one will die, I will assure you that. Anyway, if this is short too for you, I will tell you that this is a prologue, and it is short. Sorry about that, but I have had shorter prologues than this.
