My friend seaghost suggested that I write a story with just dialogue, and so. I have done. The idea is that you tell a story without using descriptive words, you only use dialogue; a bit like a play.

All Good Fun

"Admit it, we're lost."

"We are not lost."

"We're going in circles, I swear we've walked past this tree."

"How can you tell it's the same tree?"

"It's clearly the same tree!"

"It looks like every other bloody tree!"

"This one looks different."

"How? Does it have a top hat and cane?"

"No."

"Then how can you tell it apart from the other trees?"

"Because this one has a sign saying '2 Miles to The Sea' and the other trees don't."

"Alright, it's got a sign."

"And none of the other trees have."

"Wait, what did you say the sign said?"

"'2 Miles to the Sea'"

"Why didn't you say so before?!"

"You never asked!"

"We're been walking around this forest for the last half an hour looking for the beach. You're telling me, that we've been walking round in circles past a tree that gives directions?"

"I didn't know we were looking for the beach!"

"Where did you think we were going?"

"The car park."

"Why would we be going to the car park?"

"We need to get our towels and stuff."

"You mean we've walked all this way and you've left the stuff in the boot?"

"You didn't tell me to bring it."

"I said we were going to the beach."

"But you didn't say 'bring the towels'."

"I would have thought that was obvious!"

"Well it wasn't!"

"We'd best head back to the car hadn't we?"

"Lead on."

"I thought you knew the way."

"I was following you."
