You'd think by now I'd be used to this
but every wound feels just like the first.
Cutting me open again and again,
Though I bear up in silence like the fool I have been named.
And you wonder why I stay closed up inside?
Why I prefer to be alone?
Because every time I feel I've moved on,
You remind me I'm wrong with a twist of the blade.

Go ahead and move on without me,
Never fear and don't look back
I won't let you see the tears that plague me.
I'm too strong, too proud, too everything
You won't see me cry.
You'll never see the truth,
Just keep believing the stories
As easily as you've done before.
Don't question my motives.
Don't question my moods.
You won't like the answers anyways,
So just don't ask.
Move on with your life, as you've always done before.
Leave me behind.
It's nothing new.
