I found this. It made me laugh. Serves as a reminder for why I stopped writing to Placebo songs. chuckles

I wrote this novel just for Mom

For all the mommy things she's done

For all the times she showed me wrong

For all the time she sang god's song

And I say thank you Mom

- Blue American, Placebo

Hello, Mom.

When they wonder why I shy away -

I think of you.

When they question my self-esteem -

I think you.

When I cringe at their touch -

I think of you.

When they ask me of uniform scars -

I think of you.

When they make me cry -

I think of you.

When they insult my intellect -

I think of you.

When they cannot save me -

I think of you.

When I'm forever worthless

Pathetic, pathetic child

"Playing the victim"

Screaming, begging you to let go.

I'll be thinking of you.

You were never there.

Yet you managed it,

Congratulations.

You'll always be with me.

I can't escape you. Memories of you.

I'll be as small as you want me to be.

I'll be obedient.

I'll be whatever they tell me to be.

I'll smile and nod.

I'll remember you. I can't stop.

I'll be nothing, when

I think of you.
