Fredrick Toole, a great man with lots of talents. He gave to his community
and country. He was my inspiration.
Your gone
I tried to remember
But I failed
I've forgotten your face
Forgotten your voice
Your touch and love
I've ignored your advice
I need to change
I've forgotten
And I can't remember
Too many years
Not enough time
No though
You were there for me
I wasn't there for you
You cared and loved me
It seemed you were already dead
You tried to teach me your traditions
I wanted to know the modern
I'm sure it hurt you
I had so much potential
I've never thought of that
Until now
I took you for granted
I thought you'd always be there
There is so much I missed on
You didn't even see
Some of your grandchildren
And great grandchildren
I wish I had been wiser
Older, grateful, and mature
While you were alive
I miss you
I'm sorry for forgetting
