Author’s Note: Ah, the daydreaming of math class. Tis a fun thing. I had Incubus stuck in my head, so their lyrics kind of inspired me to write this. Yayness.

The Last Place

Amongst the starry skies

Your face appeared

The mouth curved

As the ocean’s waves swayed

The smile I love

Dissolved into just another grain of sand

Why does your voice surrender

To the unyielding wind?

All your desperate cries

Meld into the one place

That I missed
