Chapter 3
A glicening beam of light flared on my closed eye-lids. A opened one slowly, pausing, then opening the other. My hair was wet from a puddle I must've layed my head in. I shivered and sat up, back proped up gainst a hard, cold brick wall.
After a few silent moments, I gazed at the open palms of my hands to see the memory of the murder reflect in my pupils. I balled myself up and began to cry again. I thought to myself, 'Why me? Why?! Why couldn't it have been a dream?!' and at that moment I saw a bright flash.
Then I saw a small room. White, cushion type material surrounded me everywhere. I, myself, was chained up to the wall on my small bed of some sort. It was all white, almost sureal. 'I must be halucenating...' I thought to myself quietly. I went to touch the walls, they were slightly hypnotic. As my fingertips seemed to softly feel the material I blacked out and opened my eyes. Once again to be sitting in the alley way...hearing those alluring voices sweetly echoe within the darkest corners of my mind...

Then, at that moment, I got up and walked home. I staggered as I went, as if possessed. The voices continued their melody, in between that, I heard the screams of my ex and his slutly new girl friend. "They deserved it..." I whispered as I stepped into the doorway of my house. The door creaked open as I turned the knob slowly. The house seemed empty to me. Then, there in the living room, sat a police man and my mother. They saw me standing there in front of the door.
I just blankly stood there in the endless silence. They stared back. My mom's face had shame and fear written across it. As for the policeman, his face was stern and he held fast to his hand cuffs and night stick. I shook my head crying, as did my mom. I began to stagger towards them, holding out a hand as if to be pleading for help.
My mom shook her head as the policeman ran towards me saying, "Alright, down on the Floor! Murderer!" I couldn't respond with anything, save, "I...am...Innocent...it wasn't me...it was...the voices..." But he continued to run towards me, the voices began to taunt me again...just as I began to black out... I saw images of my boyfriend's death, his new lover, several other people...and the policeman...

I awoke, just as I did from the first black out, scared and alone, except this time...it seemed totally different. I could only see the walls of the white room. There was also a window containing the siloettes of two men. i closed my eyes, not knowing where I was or why I was even here; it wasn't prision. There were no bars, no cellmates; I was simply alone in the white room.
But from the siloettes, in a small seemingly unoticable window, I could hear them say several things...Something dealing with, "Murderer...Schitzo...Mental...a Threat..." and several other things were said, but the ringing in my ear from, what seemed to be, violent screams hindered me from translating the rest of the words that percieved out the men's mouths...
I felt cold again, a chill coursing throughout my body, and more voices I could heard... and as I staggered to the window, beatng and callign out for help of any sort, the voices were returning...with a louder toen to them...yet...it seemed so... Welcoming...

Alone... Put it in, and, Nod your head...Driven by hate, and soon by
fear...~
I almost felt like closing my eyes and blacking out again...letting these corrupt voices manipulate me...but, rather than that, I kept my eyes widened and awake...Listening to the melody and the words of emotions that rang within the deepest corridors of my mind. I refused to let this control me again, I tried to fight off the urge of giving it control...This was a damn nightmare for me.
I stepped back a few steps, almost staggering, by then a man had opened the door and began to give me some sort of treatment. The voices said again, this time seeming to want permit reign over me...

I cried for help at that point, not knowing what to do. I wanted to give in to the temptations of the sinister voices which would destroy my life further than it already has, yet, the needle and medicine held by the man seemed just as enlighting...
After what seemed minutes upon minutes... I made my choice...
~... ONE, nothing wrong with me... TWO nothing wrong with me... THREE
nothing wrong with me... FOUR nothing wrong me me!... ONE, something's got
to give... TWO, something's got to give...THREE, something's got to
give...NO!!!...~
...an hour passed afterwards...fully sober, and listening to everything that could be heard, which consisted of screams, bellows, crackling fire, and the lushous voices... ... ...
Then, it hit me...what I had done... what i had given into... and probably the most hurtful thing about it... I had enjoyed what I let the music create me into...a killer. But I suppose that music that courses within the depths of our minds can in fact make us into someone we're not...or...open up the hidden being inside...whichever it is, I had realized that it was too late to go back fix it...until, a bright light shinned in my eyelids...
I turned away from the light, feeling a warm object sheild my once cold body. i closed my eyes and the light seemed to shine through my eyelids. Then, I reopened my eyes, finding myself entangled in some covers in a strange bed. When I looke daround, I saw my room...my clock, which read 4:30 a.m. ... and my radio containing my Drowning Pool CD...stuck on track 2...
